Experienced Respiratory Therapist Kathie Greear

Kathie Greear embarked on her career in respiratory therapy by receiving basic training at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, Maine. She quickly ascended to become a staff therapist. Later, Kathie Greear joined Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, where she thrived as a staff cardiopulmonary technologist. Her responsibilities included creating and running the Pulmonary Rehab Program, recruiting patients, and initiating innovative asthma education programs. She obtained the Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) credential, and played a crucial role in cardiac stress testing and CPR events.

Transitioning to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah, Ms. Greear took on the role of neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) therapist. After three years of caring for high-risk premature babies, she shifted to the pulmonary function testing lab. During her time there, she was in charge of conducting invasive diagnostic testing and educating pulmonary patients.

Outside her professional life, Ms. Greear enjoys kayaking and hiking. Her other interests include horseback riding, quilting, and gardening.
